Photographer, the Netherlands

I was only six years old when I came in close contact with a pony and immediately felt the magic. I could not have suspected then that this moment was the starting point of an exceptional, ongoing  journey inspired by the beauty, authenticity, strength and vulnerability of these wonderful creatures. Still, I had a long way to go before I  discovered that photography were my means to express my fascination and immense love for this lovely animal.

They are at their most beautiful when they have room to interact. That's why I prefer photographing  them in the field.  Most often I take my pictures in my neighbourhood. What  may seem ordinary at first glance often turns out to be very special if you look closer. When I am near them, I forget everything around me and through my lens, I can immerse myself in the world of the horse and be enchanted every time. By editing my images, I can give form to the beauty, essence and messages of these special animals.
