A considered next step for your work
For equine artists ready to examine their work critically and invest in its development.
An Art Consult offers an independent curatorial perspective on your portfolio, a new body of work or a professional decision. Together, we consider your ideas, the coherence of your work and how you present it.
The conversation is shaped around your priorities, which may include:

I review your work and questions beforehand. We then meet online for 90 minutes, followed by
a concise written summary with recommendations and next steps.
€250 including VAT
Includes advance review, the consultation and a written summary.
Artist Development
Three sessions to develop your work
For equine artists seeking sustained curatorial guidance to develop a body of work, strengthen a portfolio or prepare for an exhibition.
Across three sessions, we establish your priorities, review progress and refine your direction. Time between meetings allows you to explore ideas and put feedback into action.
Includes three 90-minute online sessions, advance review of your work and a concise written summary after each meeting.
Sessions are spaced to suit your goals and working pace.
€700 including VAT for three sessions

Curatorial Advisory and Projects
From concept to presentation
For museums, galleries, organisations and artists developing an exhibition, publication or other art project.
I help shape the concept, select artists and artworks, and develop the exhibition structure, texts and presentation. My role is tailored to the project and agreed in collaboration with the commissioning organisation or artist.
Available remotely and on site. Scope, timeframe and fees are agreed in advance.

Finding work that matters to you
Personal guidance for acquiring or commissioning contemporary equine art.
Drawing on specialist knowledge and an international network, I help identify artists and works suited to your interests, space and budget, and guide the selection or commissioning process.

My approach
I’m Joyce Ter Horst, founder of Paard Verzameld and a curator specialising in contemporary equine art.
My experience spans more than ten years and includes curating four editions of the Dutch Equine Art Fair, alongside solo and group exhibitions internationally. This work informs my approach to artistic development, selection and presentation.
I offer thoughtful, direct feedback, with attention to your individual artistic voice and ambitions.
