Following an invitation from the Embassy of Turkmenistan, Joyce Ter Horst will curate a Paard Verzameld pavilion for the Akhal-Teke World Championship 2026. Celebrating the beauty, elegance and cultural heritage of the Akhal-Teke horse, the international event brings together breeders, owners, riders and enthusiasts from around the world.
The pavilion will introduce this international equestrian audience to a broader perspective on contemporary equine fine art. Selected works by Mirelle Vegers and Nadiia Zhebrakovska will present two distinct artistic approaches to the horse, brought together within a focused curatorial presentation.
Curatorial role
Joyce Ter Horst is responsible for the artistic concept, artist selection, presentation and coordination of the pavilion through Paard Verzameld. The project reflects her work developing contemporary equine art exhibitions and presentations for museums, cultural organisations and international equestrian events.
