Curatorial Highlights
Three projects that reflect the scope, impact and curatorial voice behind Paard Verzameld.
Dutch Equine Art Fair
Annual four day art fair curated and organised by Joyce Ter Horst, featuring over 30 international equine artists in the historic Living Horse Museum in Amsterdam. A contemporary platform for collectors, artists and creatives to engage with equine art at scale.
As the first of its kind, and now in its third edition, the fair is firmly establishing itself as a landmark for equine art in Europe.

Thelwell’s Pony Parade: A Century of Charm and Wit
A playful yet carefully curated tribute to Norman Thelwell’s 100th birthday. His iconic ponies were reframed through a contemporary lens, attracting new audiences and celebrating the enduring power of equine illustration. The exhibition blended nostalgia with relevance and positioned humour as a serious form of equine storytelling.

Stubbs Talk at the Mauritshuis
Invited speaker at the Mauritshuis panel on George Stubbs in 2020, in honour of the exhibition George Stubbs: The Man, the Horse, the Obsession. Joyce Ter Horst offered a fresh curatorial perspective on the legacy of equine art within the wider context of museum collections and visual culture. This talk was part of the expert programme accompanying the retrospective.
