The Windsong Horses
Curatorial Project | 2026
Overview
The Windsong Horses is an upcoming solo exhibition by Australian artist Karen Osborn at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre in Queensland, Australia.
The exhibition is currently in development and will present a new body of work created specifically for the project. The curatorial process focuses on shaping a cohesive exhibition that explores the relationship between horses, landscape, and place.
My Role
As curator, I am working closely with the artist and gallery throughout the development of the exhibition. My role includes:
-
Developing the curatorial concept
-
Guiding the exhibition narrative
-
Advising on the cohesion of the body of work
-
Exhibition planning and artwork selection
-
Spatial planning and visitor experience
-
Collaboration with the gallery team
Curatorial Focus
This project demonstrates my approach to curating international exhibitions through close collaboration with artists and institutions. Rather than treating individual artworks in isolation, the exhibition is being developed as a unified experience in which concept, context, and presentation work together to strengthen the visitor's understanding of the work.
