How I work
A curator acts as a professional bridge between artists, their work and the public. Rooted in the idea of care, the role has evolved into shaping meaning, narrative and how work is experienced and positioned.
My curatorial practice is dedicated to contemporary equine art. I work with artists who have a clear vision, with institutions that understand the cultural and historical weight of the subject, and with art professionals seeking specialised expertise in this field.
Drawing on years of international curatorial work, my role is to bring clarity, coherence and informed judgement to practices
and projects that deserve careful positioning within the wider art world.
If you recognise yourself here, there is space to explore how we might work together.
Ways to work together
The Curator Method
This work is about direction.
It is a curated collaboration for artists and professionals who want to shape their work with intention and confidence.
The focus is on the bigger picture.
Concept. Narrative. Storytelling.
Decision making.
A clear path forward.
Here, a body of work becomes a practice.
Choices begin to align.
A signature style starts to take form.
This collaboration is for the moment when you are ready to follow a path and commit to developing the work as a whole.
It reflects years of working closely with artists in this field.
I take on a limited number of collaborations each year, working with care from early ideas through to a finished, coherent practice.
Art Consult
The Art Consult is about clarity in the moment. It is a one off curatorial conversation for a specific question, issue or opportunity.
This is where you can test an idea.
Soundboard a thought.
Explore a possibility before committing.
The Art Consult gives you space to think, reflect and check the direction before you act.
Choose this when you want to explore options or understand what an idea could become.
Curator for Projects
Curator for Projects is about bringing a project into focus.
It offers curatorial direction for exhibitions and equine art projects that need clarity, structure and a strong sense of purpose.
This work may involve shaping a solo exhibition, developing the concept and narrative for a group presentation, or working with an artist on a publication or art book. In other cases, it may mean guiding an independent project from its initial idea through to public presentation, or advising on how a project sits within a broader institutional or cultural context.
Throughout, the focus is on aligning concept, narrative and presentation so decisions are made with the whole project in mind.
Choose this when a project needs experienced curatorial oversight to move from intention to coherent realisation.
